To make an egg omelet, follow these steps:

1. Crack two eggs into a bowl and whisk them together.
2. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat and add a tablespoon of butter or oil.
3. Once the butter/oil is melted and hot, pour in the egg mixture.
4. As the eggs cook, use a spatula to push the cooked edges towards the center, allowing the uncooked eggs to flow to the bottom of the pan.
5. When the center is almost set, add any desired fillings (e.g. cheese, veggies, meats) to one side of the omelet.
6. Use the spatula to carefully fold the other side of the omelet on top of the side with the fillings.
7. Cook for an additional minute or two until the cheese is melted and the eggs are cooked through.
8. Slide the omelet onto a plate and enjoy!
